Choosing the venue: Medha & Pav
Meet: Medha & Pav
Wedding date: 29th April 2021
How was your journey to finding your dream venue?
We were looking for an outdoor venue for an intimate wedding (as intimate as we can for an Indian wedding). If it had a gazebo it was an added bonus. When we saw Springfield House and we loved the grounds and the garden area. A bonus was the team at Springfield were lovely and so helpful with our many questions. They had also had many Indian weddings which helped in discussing the details of a Hindu ceremony.
What made you fall in love with Springfield House?
We fell in love with the natural setting, the grounds and the gazebo structure. The backdrop was so beautiful with the trees that we knew it was a gorgeous place to get married.
Best moment of the day?
- Confetti cannon mishap – we had two members of our family stand on either side of the gazebo to pop the canons as they announced us married. However my cousin struggled to pop it which led to about 2 min of cheering her on to try and pop it. We got some great photos out of it that mishap.
- Seeing all our close friends and family together after the year we had with Covid.
- The weather on the day was so pleasant that it made it more enjoyable.
- The DJ’s music playlist when we were bargaining for the groom’s shoes.
Any advice for future brides?
It’s a tough process finding a venue that meets your criteria but be patient because you will find the venue that hits your criteria list. It is helpful to research plenty of venue options and make a list of questions you want to ask each venue. Create a pros and cons list of all the venues you visit because when you see so many venues it can get quite confusing so a list definitely makes deciding easier.
